- minimum of two years experience as a cook/chef in a banquet, catering or restaurant environment
- ability to work weekends

- physical capacity to handle and lift heavy items up to 100 pounds

- availability to comply with company attendance policies and regular work schedule
- willingness to work as part of a team and assist colleagues when necessary

Job Duties
- prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards
- start food items that are prepared ahead of time, making sure not to over prepare estimated needs
- date all food containers and rotate as per Crescent standards, ensuring perishables are kept at proper temperatures
- check pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull and line setup, assist in keeping buffet stocked
- return all unused food items to designated storage areas, covering and dating all perishables
- assist in setting up plans and actions to correct food cost problems, control food waste, loss and usage per Crescent standards
- operate, maintain and properly clean kitchen equipment including deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron and flat top grill
- comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly
- perform any other related duties as assigned
