Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate
  • Three years experience in a similar position in an upscale convention hotel or restaurant
  • Food handler certification required
  • Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing
  • Compute basic arithmetic to include percentages
  • Knowledge of all stations in the banquet kitchen
  • Previous guest relations training and experience

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to the recipes and standards
  • Ensure all food items are cooked to the correct temperature and presented attractively
  • Work efficiently to manage multiple orders simultaneously during peak hours
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation
  • Ensure proper storage and labeling of ingredients and food items
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and quality service
  • Communicate effectively with servers and other team members to coordinate orders
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the kitchen
  • Report any kitchen equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to management
