Job Requirements

  • Previous cooking experience required
  • 1-2 years in a similar position preferred
  • culinary or apprenticeship program preferred
  • high school diploma preferred
  • must own a set of knives
  • manual dexterity to operate kitchen equipment
  • ability to lift push or pull weights up to 100 lbs
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • ability to work in confined spaces with high noise levels
  • ability to perform duties in extreme temperature ranges
  • ability to obtain local state or federal certifications related to sanitation liquor service or food safety
  • must adhere to Local 122 Collective Bargaining Agreement regulations with option to obtain union membership after 90 days of employment

Job Duties

  • Prepare station-specific food items according to standard recipes ensuring consistency and quality
  • monitor product storage portion sizes and specialty items such as stocks and sauces
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of all areas to meet Health Department regulations
  • prepare requisitions for supplies and food items for production in assigned workstation
  • ensure equipment is clean sanitized and operational
  • manage station setup prep work and breakdown
  • follow recipe specifications and uphold high standards of food production and presentation
  • maintain personal hygiene and sanitation practices at all times
