Job Requirements
- Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
- high school graduate
- train, supervise and work with all cook and culinary staff to prepare, cook and present food according to hotel standard
- implement the philosophy of creativity and innovation in culinary presentation
- ability to follow proper payroll and uniform procedures
- ability to check and complete mise en place and pars and set-up stations for meals
- ability to prepare and serve food for various outlets including banquets and off-site venues
- ability to communicate with sous chef and executive chef regarding menu items and situations
- ability to utilize computer systems for orders and scheduling
- ability to complete requisitions and submit to purchasing
- maintain good working relationships with employees
- ability to store items properly and maintain cleanliness
- ability to complete prep work for following day
- ability to ensure clean and organized work area
- ability to handle and report accidents
- ability to conduct oneself professionally
