Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of 3 years experience in banquet or large-scale culinary operations
  • proven leadership abilities
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
  • strong communication and team management skills
  • proactive and positive attitude

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a high-volume banquet hotel kitchen
  • demonstrated progressive leadership in culinary operations
  • proven success in executing high-quality products in professional production kitchens
  • detail-oriented approach with a passion for mentoring and developing team members
  • experience in various cuisine styles with strong organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Manage and participate in daily banquet culinary operations
  • visually inspect, select and use quality food and beverage products
  • analyze banquet event orders to plan and coordinate food portion of client functions
  • monitor and ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards
  • monitor and develop team member performance including supervision, professional development, scheduling, counseling, evaluations, and recognition
  • recruit, interview and train team members
  • assist in the creation and planning of menus
