Job Requirements

  • Must have three years’ experience working as a Banquet Chef managing multiple banquet events
  • Experience executing complex recipes in high volume banquet operations
  • Culinary degree from an accredited program preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of menu development and inventory management
  • Demonstrated leadership and team development skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments and timelines
  • Knowledge of cuisine preparation and presentation
  • Effective supervisory abilities
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations
  • Ability to work collaboratively under pressure
  • Leadership skills
  • Proficiency with complex administration software
  • Effective communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum three years’ experience as a Banquet Chef managing multiple banquet events
  • Strong working knowledge of menu development and inventory management
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and develop diverse culinary teams
  • Ability to adapt to changing work environments and menu design changes
  • Knowledge of various cuisine preparation and presentation styles
  • Effective supervisory and training skills
  • Knowledge of food health and safety requirements
  • Ability to collaborate professionally under pressure
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in complex software programs for administrative tasks

Job Duties

  • Plan, order, prepare and execute large and small banquet events from standard and custom menus
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality event execution
  • Support Concept Chef and Retail Department with culinary operations including full service and quick service restaurants
  • Design and maintain kitchen best practices for cleanliness, food quality, and facility maintenance
  • Manage employee hiring, scheduling, payroll, training, mentoring, performance review, and team building
  • Control inventory and costs through accurate recipe development and inventory management
  • Ensure food safety, facility and equipment safety, and promote employee safe work practices
