Job Requirements

  • College degree or certification in culinary or hospitality field preferred
  • minimum of 2 years experience in a high-volume kitchen preferably in a hotel or resort setting
  • knowledge of culinary techniques and cuisines
  • strong leadership skills
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to manage inventory including ordering and receiving
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
  • understanding of food safety and sanitation guidelines and regulations

Job Duties

  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to plan daily operations and staffing
  • complete daily food requisitions and prepare daily specials
  • assist in hiring, training, and coaching kitchen staff
  • play an integral role in menu development
  • manage inventory including ordering and receiving products
  • maintain a clean and organized kitchen
  • ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest quality standards
