Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- minimum of two years relevant culinary experience
- one to three years supervisory experience
- American Culinary Federation certification preferred
- valid Food Handlers Card
- proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel
- ability to interpret culinary documents
- strong report writing and communication skills
- knowledge of food cost and budget management
- demonstrated leadership and team development skills
- attention to detail and quality
- ability to work under pressure
- flexible availability including evenings and weekends
Job Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- two years experience as a Banquet Chef, Chef de Cuisine, or Kitchen Supervisor or equivalent education and experience
- one to three years supervisory experience
- American Culinary Federation certification preferred
- current Food Handlers Card
- computer literate with Microsoft Office knowledge including Excel
- ability to read and interpret food service industry materials
- capable of understanding standardized recipe formats
- skilled in writing routine reports and correspondence
- effective public speaking skills
- proficiency in calculating food costs, menu pricing, and understanding profit and loss
- strong computational and budgetary analysis skills
- excellent planning, problem-solving, decision-making, delegation, communication, time management, and employee development skills
- outstanding written and verbal communication abilities
- attention to detail and timeliness
- capable of independent decision-making and initiative
- adaptable to fast-paced environments with continuous improvement focus

Job Duties
- Communicate the core values and mission of BlueStar Resort & Golf to support company goals
- plan menus and create purchase orders ensuring food safety and quality
- collaborate with Banquet Manager to manage food quantities and budgets
- oversee kitchen equipment and cooking processes to ensure staff compliance
- respond to banquet manager and customer concerns promptly
- develop positive customer relations through proactive team interaction
- lead staff hiring, training, scheduling, mentoring, and performance reviews
