Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Two years' experience as Banquet Chef, Chef de Cuisine, or Kitchen Supervisor or equivalent education and experience
- One to three years' supervisory experience required
- American Culinary Federation certification preferred
- Current Food Handlers Card
- Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel
- Ability to read and interpret food service industry materials
- Ability to understand standardized recipe formats
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to calculate food costs, menu pricing, discounts, and labor standards
- Planning, problem-solving, decision-making, delegation, communication, and employee development skills
- Ability to maintain high work standards with attention to detail
- Initiative and independent decision-making skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends

Job Duties
- Communicate core values and mission of BlueStar Resort & Golf to support company goals
- Plan menus, create purchase orders for food, assure food safety and freshness, and prepare menu items according to standards
- Collaborate with Banquet Manager on guest counts, budget, and timing of events
- Oversee kitchen equipment, food preparation, and cooking techniques
- Respond to Banquet Manager and customer concerns
- Develop positive customer relations through proactive interactions with team members, guests, and suppliers
- Lead and mentor kitchen staff, schedule, conduct performance reviews, and support hiring process
