Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Banquet Chef or similar role
  • Bachelor’s degree or Professional Studies degree in Culinary Arts Management or related field
  • Strong knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and kitchen procedures
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and hygiene

Job Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of previous Banquet chef experience or similar position
  • A Bachelors degree or Professional Studies degree in Culinary Arts Management, Baking and Pastry Arts Management, or Culinary Science
  • Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
  • A love of all things culinary with desire to create unique delicious dishes and build a professional team
  • Positive, can-do attitude and ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Skilled in communicating with team members with polished appearance and poised demeanor
  • Ability to engage with empathy and show genuine care for guests and team members
  • Desire to learn and grow in a professional, fun and chic environment

Job Duties

  • Efficient daily functioning of the Banquet Kitchen and work closely with the Executive Chef in all aspects of Banquet Kitchen management
  • Development of new concepts, creating and introducing new menus and standardized recipes, ordering, keeping food cost at minimum and ensuring quality, consistency and hygiene for products and equipment
  • Allocate kitchen resources, execute controls, train and develop Banquet kitchen staff including coaching and daily functioning, maintain efficient Kitchen Operations
  • Showcase unique culinary creativity and skills to create a memorable Banquet event food experience
  • Work with Culinary team to ensure food quality, preparation, timeliness of catering service and operational efficiency
  • Offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting colleagues
  • Manage all Kitchens in the absence of the Executive Chef or other Kitchen leaders
  • Exercise good judgment anticipating needs of team, managers, co-workers and guests
  • Lead operations and address feedback from guests, Sales department and Food & Beverage service team
