Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • several years of culinary experience in banquet or catering environments
  • Serve Safe Certification
  • knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • experience in staff hiring and training
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift kitchen equipment
  • passion for food quality and guest satisfaction

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in banquet or large-scale kitchen management
  • culinary degree or equivalent professional experience
  • proven leadership and team management skills
  • expertise in menu development and food presentation
  • thorough knowledge of food safety standards

  • strong organizational and cost control skills
  • creativity in menu innovation and event catering

Job Duties

  • Executing and fulfilling banquet event orders
  • planning and directing food preparation and culinary activities
  • customizing menus for weddings, corporate and social groups
  • maintaining a safe and clean work environment in the banquet kitchen and surrounding areas
  • ensuring stewarding responsibilities are fulfilled throughout the hotel
  • hiring and training banquet cooks, Cafe East cooks, and utility workers
  • developing and implementing seasonal menus for Cafe East and supplying food to other venues
  • creating weekly specials to drive revenue and customer interest
  • developing and executing special event menus such as wine dinners and tastings
  • managing outside catering as required
  • developing new amenity selections for guests
  • supplying the employee cafeteria with daily lunch selections
  • driving resort success based on company values and principles
