Job Requirements

  • Successful completion of a background check prior to employment
  • Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred
  • Food Safety and Sanitation certification required
  • 5+ years of progressive culinary experience, including 2+ years in banquet or high-volume event chef roles
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale food preparation and culinary teams
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities
  • Ability to train and mentor kitchen staff
  • Knowledge of cost control and inventory management
  • Commitment to health, safety, and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred
  • Food Safety and Sanitation certification required
  • 5+ years of progressive culinary experience, with at least 2 years in a banquet or high-volume event chef role
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale food preparation for events, weddings, conferences, and corporate functions
  • Experience leading, training, and scheduling culinary staff
  • Demonstrated success in cost control, vendor management, and maintaining food quality standards
  • Ongoing professional development in culinary trends and banquet operations is a plus

Job Duties

  • Lead banquet kitchen operations from menu planning to execution, ensuring consistency and excellence
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef, Event Managers, and Banquet team to create tailored menus that align with client expectations and brand standards
  • Maintain high levels of organization and efficiency in preparing large-scale, high-volume meals without compromising quality
  • Train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff to support professional growth and uphold culinary excellence
  • Manage food costs, inventory, and waste reduction to meet budgetary goals
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Other duties as assigned
