Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years banquet/catering chef experience in a hotel or venue
  • knowledge of F&B preparation techniques, health department rules and regulations
  • ability to manage and lead a kitchen team
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • eligibility to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • 3+ years banquet/catering chef experience in a hotel or venue
  • high-volume large event cooking experience required
  • excellent leadership, kitchen management, and team building skills
  • extensive knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and safe food handling
  • strong organizational, communication and problem-solving abilities
  • ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs

Job Duties

  • Knowledge of F&B preparation techniques, health department rules and regulations
  • an open, curious mind with a desire to deliver a tailored guest experience with a hospitality every time mindset
  • regularly communicates and collaborates with our internal Events team and clients for operational and menu changes
  • highly organized multitasker who thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • willingness to learn and accommodate changes in the industry
  • professional, yet comfortable with candid & open to and acting upon feedback – all with the guest and employee experience top of mind
  • manage shifts which include daily decision making, scheduling, and planning
  • able to read and comprehend weekly Banquet Events Orders
  • ensure product quality and kitchen cleanliness
  • perform calmly and effectively in a high-volume environment
  • manage on-the-fly requests with ease and poise
  • coach, lead and develop team
