Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 4 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • OR 2-year degree from accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
  • 2 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • Ability to attend daily banquet event meetings and coordinate with event teams
  • Ability to manage banquet event order process and food preparation
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to handle guest complaints effectively
  • Commitment to maintaining food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to train and develop culinary staff

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 4 years experience in culinary or food and beverage industry
  • OR 2-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management or related field with 2 years culinary or food and beverage experience
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to manage budgets and operational goals
  • Experience in menu development and event catering management

Job Duties

  • Exhibits culinary talents by performing tasks and leading banquet food preparation staff
  • Coordinates menus, purchasing, scheduling, food preparation and plating for catering events
  • Ensures sanitation and food standards are achieved
  • Manages banquet event order process including menu development, pricing, tracking and ordering
  • Supervises and manages culinary team including training, coaching, and performance management
  • Maintains food preparation handling and storage standards
  • Responds effectively to guest problems and complaints
