Job Requirements
- Ability to stand and exercise mobility for extended periods during shifts
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to push and pull equipment and carts weighing up to 200 pounds
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures such as freezers and kitchens
- Must have integrity and be trustworthy
- Must be open to continuous learning and personal development
- Ability to lead and supervise kitchen teams effectively
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of three years culinary supervisory or management experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Ability to embrace and adapt to new technology and operating systems
- Knowledge of implementing new food concepts and menus
- Budgetary analysis capabilities are a plus
- Experience in luxury hotel environments is a plus
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Prepare and order all items for banquet event orders and maintain stock levels
- Manage inventory and control of equipment and china with Executive Steward
- Execute production and plating efficiently meeting guest expectations
- Attend banquet event order meetings and communicate with banquet kitchen staff
- Oversee recruitment, hiring, training, and supervision of sous chefs and cooks
- Lead and assist in food preparation during banquets and events
- Maintain clean and sanitary food preparation and storage areas
- Prepare weekly kitchen work schedules and estimate production needs
- Oversee employee dining room menus and experience
- Maintain purchasing, receiving, and food storage standards
- Create memorable guest experiences
- Perform additional duties as assigned
