Job Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience in catering and kitchen management
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Flexibility to work varied hours including events and weekends
  • ServSafe certification preferred

Job Qualifications

  • A.S. or equivalent experience
  • Some progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
  • Catering experience
  • High volume, complex foodservice operations experience
  • Institutional and batch cooking experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends
  • Proficient with computers including Microsoft Office
  • Willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs
  • ServSafe certification highly desirable

Job Duties

  • Assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and expenditures for catering and campus events
  • Assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus
  • Produce and execute catering events
  • Roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with company marketing and culinary team
  • Supervise hourly associates and assist with catering execution
  • Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors for sourcing ingredients
