Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Several years of culinary experience in catering or banquet settings
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to collaborate with team members
  • Must be able to stand for long periods
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Experience with computers including Microsoft Office
  • ServSafe certified preferred

Job Qualifications

  • A.S. degree or equivalent experience
  • Progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
  • Catering experience
  • Experience in high volume, complex foodservice operations
  • Institutional and batch cooking experience
  • Knowledge of food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, and food cost controls
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, E-mail, and Internet
  • ServSafe certification (highly desirable)
  • Ability to participate in client satisfaction programs

Job Duties

  • Assist with managing cost controls and expenditures for catering and campus events
  • Assist with planning and creating menus
  • Produce and execute catering events
  • Roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with company marketing and culinary team
  • Supervise hourly associates as needed
  • Assist with ordering and inventory management
  • Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met
