Job Requirements

  • One year or more banquet serving work history preferred
  • Experience in hotel environment desired
  • Previous banquet service required
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Some level of management skills desired
  • Refined verbal and written communication
  • Ability to keep up with a fast paced environment
  • Ability to carry tray weighing up to 30 lbs without assistance
  • Stand and/or walk entire shift
  • Must be available nights and weekends
  • U.S. work authorization

Job Duties

  • Act as authority and go-to person in absence of Banquet Manager
  • Ensure guests receive quality food and friendly, knowledgeable service
  • Introduce yourself to event contact and make sure their requests are clear and executed
  • Follow banquet event order (BEO) requirements
  • Maintain proper and clean uniform
  • Set up banquet rooms including linen and china
  • Follow health and safety practices at all times
  • Complete all prep work prior to event start time
  • Serve food and beverages ensuring consistency
  • Respond promptly to guest requests
  • Set up buffets as needed
  • Maintain professional appearance and positive attitude
  • Maintain clear communication between staff
  • Maintain work areas and side duties during event
  • Keep tally of consumed items and equipment used
  • Ring out BEO and provide copy to sales/catering staff
  • Respect co-workers and managers
  • Remove all linen, silverware, china, and trays after banquet
  • Foster a fun and engaging work environment
