Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3-6 months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and speak English
  • Must meet state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages

Job Duties

  • Review assigned banquet staff functions and banquet menus prior to scheduled events
  • Conduct pre-banquet meetings to ensure appearance and hygiene standards, assign stations and partners, and review banquet event orders
  • Communicate with Executive Chef, Kitchen Manager, or event coordinator to ensure event details are planned and met
  • Ensure availability of appropriate quantities of china, glassware, silverware, linens, and other items for events and secure requisitions for unavailable items
  • Check room set-up prior to events and confirm food quantities and timing with Executive Chef
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of equipment after use
  • Conduct random audits during functions to evaluate food quality, service, and upsell opportunities
