Job Duties
- Reviews assigned banquet staff functions and banquet menus prior to scheduled events
- conducts pre-banquet meetings with staff to ensure appearance and hygiene standards, assign stations and partners, and review banquet event orders
- communicates with the Executive Chef, Kitchen Manager, or event coordinator to ensure details are planned and met, with timely updates
- ensures availability and requisition of necessary china, glassware, silverware, linens, and other items for events
- checks room set-up before events and confirms food quantities and timing with Executive Chef
- ensures proper handling and storage of equipment after use
- conducts random audits during functions to evaluate food and service quality, ensuring food temperature, presentation, availability, and upsell opportunities
- reviews banquet schedule regularly for changes, calendar, and special events
- incorporates safe work practices in job performance
- maintains regular and reliable attendance
- performs other duties as required
