Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 to 3 years of banquet service experience
- Safe Server Alcohol and Food certification
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures including freezers and kitchens
- Must be able to stand for up to four hours and exert well-paced mobility
- Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs
- Ability to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong leadership and customer relations abilities
- Detail oriented with outstanding organizational skills
- Intermediate computer proficiency
- Ability to work independently
- Must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance per company standards
- Regular attendance and punctuality
- Willingness to work varying schedules due to the cyclical nature of hospitality industry
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- 1 to 3 years of high-volume banquet service experience
- Hotel or resort banquet experience preferred
- Excellent leadership capability
- Outstanding organizational and communication skills
- Intermediate computer skills including familiarity with Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, and POS
- Strong issue resolution and analytical skills
- Knowledge of table and bar service
- Ability to describe menu items and methods of preparation
- Safe Server Alcohol and Food certification
- Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcohol
Job Duties
- Oversees all banquet service operations and events and ensures that all banquet service details are executed
- Assists Director of Food and Beverage Operations in ensuring that the events are on time and relays information as needed
- Reviews Banquet Event Orders at the beginning of each shift to ensure conference rooms are set as contracted and confirms audio/visual equipment needs
- Responsible for the direct supervision, coaching and training of the banquet service staff
- Manages staff shifts and timetables
- Develops and provides staff with necessary training including customer service and serving etiquette
- Collaborates with Catering, Sales, Food & Beverage managers, and the culinary team to ensure quality service for all meeting and banquet guests
