Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 to 3 years of banquet service experience
  • Safe Server Alcohol and Food certification
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures including freezers and kitchens
  • Must be able to stand for up to four hours and exert well-paced mobility
  • Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs
  • Ability to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong leadership and customer relations abilities
  • Detail oriented with outstanding organizational skills
  • Intermediate computer proficiency
  • Ability to work independently
  • Must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance per company standards
  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Willingness to work varying schedules due to the cyclical nature of hospitality industry

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • 1 to 3 years of high-volume banquet service experience
  • Hotel or resort banquet experience preferred
  • Excellent leadership capability
  • Outstanding organizational and communication skills
  • Intermediate computer skills including familiarity with Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, and POS
  • Strong issue resolution and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of table and bar service
  • Ability to describe menu items and methods of preparation
  • Safe Server Alcohol and Food certification
  • Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcohol

Job Duties

  • Oversees all banquet service operations and events and ensures that all banquet service details are executed
  • Assists Director of Food and Beverage Operations in ensuring that the events are on time and relays information as needed
  • Reviews Banquet Event Orders at the beginning of each shift to ensure conference rooms are set as contracted and confirms audio/visual equipment needs
  • Responsible for the direct supervision, coaching and training of the banquet service staff
  • Manages staff shifts and timetables
  • Develops and provides staff with necessary training including customer service and serving etiquette
  • Collaborates with Catering, Sales, Food & Beverage managers, and the culinary team to ensure quality service for all meeting and banquet guests
