  • minimum of 2 years of previous banquet captain experience preferred
  • strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills preferred
  • bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • knowledge of food and beverage service standards and alcohol regulations preferred
  • ability to multitask and perform well in a fast paced environment preferred

Job Duties

  • Supervise banquet staff during events, assigning duties and ensuring proper setup, service, and breakdown of function rooms
  • ensure events are executed according to banquet event orders including room setup, timelines, and guest service standards
  • communicate directly with clients during events, attend to special requests, and ensure overall guest satisfaction
  • communicate effectively with the kitchen, bar, and event management teams to ensure smooth operations
  • monitor service quality and guest satisfaction throughout the event, addressing issues promptly and professionally
  • oversee beverage consumption, ensuring accurate tracking, proper service, and adherence to alcohol service policies
  • finalize banquet checks at the end of the night and post charges to master accounts accurately
  • complete event reports after each function and distribute them to the appropriate department heads
  • train, motivate, and support banquet staff, promoting teamwork and high service standards
  • ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
  • assist with inventory control, equipment handling, and proper storage
