Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-4 years of food service experience preferably in banquet service
  • Experience in a 4-star or 5-star venue
  • Knowledge of wine, beer, cocktails, and spirits
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting
  • Passionate about guest service
  • Ability to lead and coordinate a team effectively

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-4 years of food service experience preferably in banquet service
  • Experience working in a 4-star or 5-star venue with synchronized service
  • Knowledge of wine, beer, cocktails, and spirits
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Set up banquet rooms including draping tables, setting silverware, folding napkins, preparing drinks, and arranging centerpieces
  • Serve food and beverages by picking up from the back hall, carrying trays, serving food, and clearing tables
  • Break down banquet rooms by bussing tables, placing dirty linens and centerpieces away
  • Clean and organize back hall and storerooms
  • Set up AM and PM break stations with coffee, tea, snacks, and beverages
  • Assist with event room setup according to meal period and table needs
  • Perform food and beverage preparation duties such as preparing condiments and brewing coffee
  • Serve food and beverages to guests and remove dishes, glasses, and silverware
  • Clean and sanitize tables, counters, and seats after guests have finished
  • Explain menu items including preparation methods and ingredients
  • Take into account special requests and dietary restrictions
  • Provide general property information and offer warm welcomes and farewells
  • Interact professionally with other staff and assist as needed
  • Ensure quality control of food and beverage items prior to service
  • Monitor assigned tables for customer satisfaction and address guest issues promptly
  • Aid other events and restaurant staff as needed
  • Maintain constant awareness of safety issues
