Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous banquet service experience preferred
- must have ServSafe and Responsible Vendor certifications
- ability to operate food and beverage computer systems
- strong written and verbal communication skills
- ability to work flexible shifts including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- must have authorization to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- Working knowledge of banquet service preferably in a luxury hotel setting
- knowledge of Four Seasons' cultural and core standards preferred
- ability to operate computer equipment and food and beverage computer systems
- strong written and verbal communication skills
- ability to read and speak English
- ServSafe certification
- Responsible Vendor certification
- authorization to work in the United States
Job Duties
- Lead the banquets team in ensuring accurate set-up of all event spaces
- lead the team during service to ensure guest experiences meet Four Seasons' standards
- participate in the service and removal of food during banquet functions
- offer pre-determined menu selections to each table
- maintain knowledge of each selection's origin, taste, and preparation method
- communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests to the kitchen
- check completed kitchen orders with the guest's original order
- transport items to the guest table in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality
- make self available to guests, clients, and group contacts to ensure satisfaction
- train, motivate, recommend discipline, and supervise the work of food servers ensuring all cultural and core standards are met
- assist with administrative duties including closing banquet checks and preparing supply requisitions
