Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in banquet or event operations
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including nights and weekends
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Lead and liaise with multiple departments to ensure exceptional group functions
  • Ensure smooth daily operation of the banquet department and event bar/food services
  • Manage floor operations during events
  • Review banquet event orders to confirm correct set-ups
  • Critically assess and improve procedures, policies, and methods of operation
  • Maintain equipment, fixtures, and furniture in the department
  • Keep all function information up to date with revisions
  • Develop and enforce a safety culture within the department
  • Maintain harmonious and communicative working relationships with supporting departments
  • Coach and train team members, monitor development and provide feedback
  • Ensure guest satisfaction goals are met or exceeded
  • Develop strong interpersonal relationships with guests
