Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 1 year experience in banquet or food and beverage service
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • ability to read and interpret Banquet Event Orders
  • must be attentive, friendly, and courteous at all times
  • ability to handle guest complaints and problem-solve
  • basic math skills for cash handling
  • willingness to follow all hotel policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in banquet or food and beverage service
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to read and interpret Banquet Event Orders
  • ability to lead and supervise staff
  • attention to detail

  • ability to handle guest complaints professionally
  • basic mathematical skills for money handling
  • knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards

Job Duties

  • Respond to guests needs in a timely manner
  • communicate problems or issues to the Banquet Manager, Banquet Supervisor, or Food and Beverage Manager
  • assist Banquet Manager, Supervisor, or Food and Beverage Manager with the creation of the banquet work schedule and completion of banquet wage progress reports
  • inspect the setup of meeting and banquet functions, checking them against the Banquet Event Order
  • act as liaison between Sales/Catering Manager and the in-house meeting or banquet contact
  • be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers, and fellow employees
  • perform preparatory tasks and side-work duties to ensure prompt and efficient service
  • know how to read the Banquet Event Order and be familiar with the menu of the assigned function
  • serve guests in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner according to hotel standards
  • respond to guest problems, complaints, and accidents and communicate to management if necessary
  • set all tables according to hotel standards
  • maintain the banquet storeroom neatly stocked with necessary supplies
  • clean up banquet space after functions and properly store and restock equipment and supplies
  • prepare room according to BEO and various meal functions
  • follow all money handling procedures when serving guests
