Job Requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- 2-4 years experience as a banquet captain in a multiunit hotel or casino
- Gaming and/or hospitality experience a plus
- Understand and comply with all company and departmental rules and regulations, policies and procedures
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff and guests
- Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English
- Ability to understand BEO’s and diagrams
- High school education or equivalent preferred
- Work is performed in an area which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy and smoky
- Work may be performed in small areas having a 2-1/2 ft access and at a height of 4 ft
- Constant contact with staff and guests
- Position requires team member to enter and exit from the team member entrance which entails 4 flights of stairs (40 steps)
- Requires seldom sitting, bending and reaching in areas from floor level to 6 ft high, crouching, balancing, pushing/pulling and lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs or less, repetitive use of both hands with light and firm/strong grasping, finger dexterity, far visual acuity with depth perception, field of vision and absence of color blindness
- Frequent standing and walking
- Requires normal sense of smell, taste, touch and sound
- Requires eye/hand coordination, the ability to perform simple tasks, analyze, supervise, instruct, work precisely, follow instructions, influence others, meet time requirements, memorize, problem solve, use independent judgment and decision making, simple reading, writing and math skills
- Requires the ability to distinguish letters and symbols
- Requires the use of office equipment such as computers, typewriters, telephones, beepers, radios, calculators and copiers
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Schedule staff to ensure guest satisfaction
- Present a professional manner at all times
- Identify yourself to the host of the party and use the guest’s name
- Check with each table a minimum of 2 times during the service to ensure proper service and atmosphere for the guest
- Review weekly functions for employee scheduling and product ordering
- Responsible for ensuring all areas are clean after function
- Ensure all food and beverage items as well as dishware and equipment are in place for function in the prescribed time
- Supervise employees to include motivating, coaching, disciplining, and evaluating as appropriate
- Ensure compliance to all rules, regulations and procedures
- Document all incidents in detail
- Assign stations and record attendance
- Inspect staff as to uniforms, cleanliness, identification, etc.
- Ensure a safe working environment for employees
