- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to lead and coordinate a team
- Strong customer service orientation
- Knowledge of safety and sustainability practices
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
Job Duties
- Assist leading banquet staff during assigned functions
- Ensure colleagues perform in accordance with established guest service standards
- Set up banquet rooms as instructed by management
- Serve food and/or beverages in order and to the expectation of supervisor
- Replenish beverages and food items as necessary
- Check with guests for overall satisfaction
- Act as point of contact for group representatives when management is not present
- Communicate all banquet event order changes to catering or convention services office and affected departments
- Coordinate with banquet colleagues on set-ups, changes and time schedules for all functions
- Inspect banquet areas at the end of function to ensure all equipment is returned properly and all areas are clean
- Abide by all state, federal and corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages
- Help with management to ensure proper liquor controls
- Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program
- Practice safe work habits and follow MSDS and OSHA standards
- Perform other duties as requested by management
