Job Requirements

  • minimum age to serve alcohol
  • one year of experience in foodservice or hospitality industry preferred
  • ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
  • ability to obtain relevant certifications such as food handlers certificate or alcohol training
  • must be available to work weekends including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
  • superior professional appearance and manner
  • good character to work in a fast-paced team

Job Qualifications

  • one year of experience in the foodservice or hospitality industry as a bartender preferred
  • good knowledge of spirits, beer, and wine
  • experience at a luxury hospitality property preferred

Job Duties

  • assist guests in beverage and drink preparation
  • service the bar area and restaurant efficiently and timely
  • engage with guests about their beverage needs and satisfaction
  • maintain detailed knowledge of drink offerings and assist guests accordingly
  • comply with Bishop's Lodge and Forbes standards for bar and restaurant outlets
  • contribute to food and beverage sales by being knowledgeable about drinks, specials, and prices
  • accurately take and place orders in the Micros system ensuring correct timing and billing
  • prepare guest checks and collect payments or signatures as required
  • operate, maintain, and clean all bar equipment and fittings properly
  • ensure the bar is well-stocked at all times
  • use safe food handling procedures and maintain a safe working environment according to food safety guidelines
