Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- minimum one year bartending experience preferred
- must be at least the legal age to serve alcohol
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- ability to obtain necessary certifications such as food handlers or alcohol training
- strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness
- ability to work well in a team environment
- reliable and punctual
- physical capability to stand for extended periods
- must comply with all health and safety regulations
Job Qualifications
- one year experience in foodservice or hospitality industry as a bartender preferred
- good knowledge of spirits, beer, and wine
- experience at a luxury hospitality property preferred
- must be of minimum age to serve alcohol
- superior professional appearance and manner
- good character to work in a fast-paced team
- ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- ability to obtain relevant state and local government certifications such as food handlers certificate or alcohol training
- must be available to work weekends
Job Duties
- assist guests in beverage and drink preparation
- service the bar area and the restaurant efficiently and timely
- engage with guests to ensure satisfaction with beverages and drinks
- demonstrate knowledge of menu drinks and standard beverages to assist guest selection
- comply with Bishop's Lodge and Forbes standards in the bar and restaurant
- contribute to improving food and beverage sales through product knowledge
- accurately take and place orders using the Micros system
- prepare guest checks and collect payments
- operate and maintain bar equipment and fittings
- ensure the bar is well-stocked at all times
- use safe food handling procedures and maintain a safe working environment
