Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum one year bartending experience preferred
  • must be at least the legal age to serve alcohol
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • ability to obtain necessary certifications such as food handlers or alcohol training
  • strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness
  • ability to work well in a team environment
  • reliable and punctual
  • physical capability to stand for extended periods
  • must comply with all health and safety regulations

Job Qualifications

  • one year experience in foodservice or hospitality industry as a bartender preferred
  • good knowledge of spirits, beer, and wine
  • experience at a luxury hospitality property preferred
  • must be of minimum age to serve alcohol
  • superior professional appearance and manner
  • good character to work in a fast-paced team
  • ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • ability to obtain relevant state and local government certifications such as food handlers certificate or alcohol training
  • must be available to work weekends

Job Duties

  • assist guests in beverage and drink preparation
  • service the bar area and the restaurant efficiently and timely
  • engage with guests to ensure satisfaction with beverages and drinks
  • demonstrate knowledge of menu drinks and standard beverages to assist guest selection
  • comply with Bishop's Lodge and Forbes standards in the bar and restaurant
  • contribute to improving food and beverage sales through product knowledge
  • accurately take and place orders using the Micros system
  • prepare guest checks and collect payments
  • operate and maintain bar equipment and fittings
  • ensure the bar is well-stocked at all times
  • use safe food handling procedures and maintain a safe working environment
