Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 years old
  • prior bartending experience
  • ability to work flexible schedule including nights weekends and public holidays
  • must have excellent knowledge of liquors beers and wine
  • ability to lift push and pull a minimum of 50 pounds
  • ability to use moderately complex computer software
  • ability to obtain any government required license or certificate
  • strong communication skills
  • strong attention to detail
  • ability to multitask
  • excellent customer service skills

Job Qualifications

  • Prior bartending experience preferably in high-volume banquet or hotel environment

Job Duties

  • Arrive at scheduled start time in appropriate uniform and ready to work
  • report to Banquet Captain before starting and ending shifts
  • read and understand all particulars of banquet event orders including start time and beverage requirements
  • maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar for each scheduled event including requisitioning and stocking of all necessary supplies
  • maintain stock, prepare and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables to ensure product quality
  • polish all glassware and ensure sanitation in and around the bar area
  • greet guests courteously and promote and document orders for drinks
  • mix, garnish and present drinks using standard recipes and portion control
  • input orders into the point of sale and create checks for guests to maintain beverage accountability
  • communicate challenges, guest complaints or requests to the Banquet Captain promptly
  • check guest identification to ensure alcohol is served only to guests of legal drinking age
  • remove inventory and beverage equipment to proper storage after functions
  • retrieve and store bar glassware properly
  • perform other related duties as assigned by the Banquet Captain or management
  • adhere to all state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcohol
  • maintain professionalism and a high standard of service throughout each event
