Job Requirements

  • 18 years of age
  • current food handlers card
  • one year of food server experience

  • one year of food server experience
  • ability to interact effectively with team members and guests
  • ability to communicate effectively in the English language
  • ability to maintain professionalism and composure
  • ability to understand verbal directives and written instructions
  • ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours at a time
  • ability to carry large serving tray and tray jacks
  • ability to bend, stoop, push and pull
  • ability to routinely lift and carry 35 pounds
  • ability to appear for work on time

Job Duties

  • Provide guests with service by reviewing banquet event order
  • ensure and verify rooms, audio visual equipment, lighting, microphone, sound, and room temperature are set as requested
  • acknowledge and welcome guests entering the resort and event rooms
  • promptly deliver and serve food and beverages
  • inform banquet captain and kitchen staff of meal adjustments and/or timing of delivery
  • remove and deliver food courses
  • refill and/or remove glassware as appropriate
  • ensure responsible alcohol beverage service policies are followed by asking for proper identification from guests that appear to be under the age of 30
  • monitor alcohol consumption
  • ensure guests do not become intoxicated following established procedures
  • stop alcohol service at the designated time
  • clear the room of all alcoholic containers, glasses and bottles for each venue at the time specified
  • promote guest relations by responding to guest requests
  • offer appropriate up to date information regarding promotional contests and giveaways
  • provide requested assistance and product knowledge
  • treat guests in a friendly and courteous manner
  • maintain safe and sanitary banquet areas by cleaning surfaces
  • break-down buffets, beverage tables
  • store equipment and supplies in designated areas
  • dispose of all trash
  • ensure banquet equipment and supplies are stocked and clean by submitting supply requisitions
  • place delivered water, food and supplies in designated areas
  • polish silverware
  • fold napkins
  • clean shelves, condiment holders, tables and counters according to established procedures
