Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a banquet or event bartender
  • Knowledge of high-end cocktail preparation and bar maintenance
  • Familiarity with food and beverage service policies and standard operating procedures
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively during fast-paced events
  • Certification in ServSafe and RAMPS/TIPS
  • Ability to maintain professional appearance and full uniform
  • Ability to handle guest requests tactfully and professionally

Job Duties

  • Establish a warm welcome with a smile and professional atmosphere for guests by following food and beverage policies and standard operating procedures
  • Work as part of a team to set up, serve and breakdown banquet events using proper food and beverage techniques
  • Execute different banquet functions including meetings, tastings, receptions, breakfast, lunch, brunch and dinner with competence
  • Make high-end cocktails and maintain a clean and organized bar area
  • Respond actively to manager's requests regarding special guests or last-minute event details
  • Ensure the room is completely set 30 minutes prior to the start of a function
  • Assist in seating guests including pulling out chairs
  • Provide immediate and attentive service to guests at individual stations in the dining room
  • Maintain full uniform including nametag when clocked in and out
  • Take food orders at each station in a specific manner
  • Refill all beverages served with and after the meal as requested or per instructions
  • Use props and appropriate linens to accent food presentation
  • Retrieve and store props appropriately after use
  • Clear soiled glasses, flatware and chinaware and rack them correctly in pantries
  • Complete all assigned side work at the end of every shift
  • Break down all soiled flatware, chinaware and glassware into appropriate racks or containers
  • Notify supervisor immediately of any member or guest complaints
  • Continually improve skills to be able to execute an event unsupervised if needed
  • Wipe and sanitize all countertops at the end of every shift
  • Separate linens properly in designated bags after use
  • Stock pantries with dry or wet supplies as required
  • Perform all other functions as required by management
