Job Requirements

  • Knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, and non-alcoholic beverages
  • Ability to check identification and monitor alcohol consumption during service

Job Duties

  • Set up banquet bar including all liquor, mixers, ice, garnishes, glassware and supplies, inventory, unused liquor and beverages
  • Perform pre and post shift side work such as set-up cart, empty ice-bins, securing liquor
  • Prepare and serve beverages in a prompt and professional manner in accordance with established standards and responsible alcohol service
  • Greet guests pleasantly as they approach the bar
  • promote house drinks and utilize up-selling skills to maximize revenues
  • Adhere to established pouring standards and drink recipes to provide consistent product and control costs
  • Monitor guest behavior and alcohol consumption to determine when service should cease
  • notify management of incidents involving excessive consumption or impaired customers
  • Check identification when age is questionable
  • Follow procedures to ensure security and proper storage of liquor and beverage items, security of financial transactions, timely replenishment of supplies, and minimize waste
  • Complete paperwork such as consumption reports and incident reports according to procedures
  • Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments
  • Perform other duties as assigned
