Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One or more years of experience as a barback in a high volume, upscale hotel or lounge
- Ability to stand, stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds repetitively
- Certifications in food service management or responsible alcohol service
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and high service standards
Job Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of wine, spirits, and food
- Polite, friendly, and helpful to guests and staff
- Exceptional guest service skills
- Ability to stand, stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds repetitively
- Knowledge of banquet and food service standards
- Certifications such as Certified Food Service Manager and TIPS or equivalent
- Effective leadership, management, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to speak, read, and write English
- Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Provides support to the bartender and beverage server by stocking service areas and maintaining supplies
- Participates in monthly inventory
- Stocks and maintains supplies in service areas
- Inspects and prepares service ware prior to use
- Assists server by removing soiled glasses and plates during busy periods
- Cleans and stocks glassware
- Maintains cleanliness and sanitary conditions of lounge and service areas
- Assists in post shift cleanup and side work duties
- Maintains organized storage space
- Attends all training sessions and meetings
- Greets guests professionally and assists in upselling beverages
- Monitors guest consumption to ensure safety
- Inventories beverages and orders replacements
- Performs all closing duties and secures inventory and supplies
