Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • previous hospitality or food service experience required
  • valid food handler's certification or ability to obtain upon hire
  • responsible beverage server certification preferred
  • must be willing to obtain if not already certified upon hire
  • strong customer service mindset and willingness to learn
  • good time management and awareness of event flow
  • must be reliable, punctual, and have a professional appearance and grooming
  • effective verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • fast-paced, team-oriented, and guest-facing role
  • able to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
  • able to adapt to varying weather and temperatures, indoors and outdoors
  • able to stand and walk for long periods and navigate stairs if needed
  • able to work a flexible schedule, including availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 30 lbs.

Job Duties

  • Assist with setting up event spaces, including linens, table settings and buffet or beverage stations
  • stock service areas appropriately with supplies such as utensils, napkins, cups, and condiments
  • support the execution of food service by serving pre-plated meals, beverages, and passed appetizers as directed
  • replenish buffet stations regularly to ensure presentation and freshness
  • transport food and supplies from kitchen to event areas in a safe and timely manner
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned areas throughout the event
  • assist with table service and floor maintenance for example: clear tables, remove used dishes, and manage trash during and after service
