Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field preferred
  • minimum of 3 years experience in banquet or event management
  • strong leadership and team supervision skills
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • proficiency with event management software
  • knowledge of food and beverage operations and safety standards
  • ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
  • flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Work with clients, event planners, and the sales team to understand event requirements and expectations
  • create detailed banquet event orders (BEOs) and timelines
  • coordinate room setup, décor, seating plans, AV needs, and menu selections
  • communicate event details to culinary, service, housekeeping, and other relevant departments
  • oversee setup, execution, and breakdown of all banquet functions
  • ensure all food and beverage service standards are consistently followed
  • inspect event spaces for cleanliness, readiness, and safety
  • manage inventory of banquet supplies, linens, equipment, and décor
  • recruit, train, schedule, and supervise banquet staff (servers, captains, bartenders, setup crews)
  • conduct pre-event briefings to discuss duties, timelines, and service standards
  • provide coaching and performance evaluations to maintain high service quality
  • greet clients upon arrival and remain accessible during events to resolve issues quickly
  • ensure guest satisfaction by providing attentive, personalized service
  • handle any complaints or conflicts professionally and efficiently
