Job Description
The Cleveland Open is a prestigious professional tennis tournament held annually in Cleveland, Ohio. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to commit to long hours during the event week including weekends and evenings
- Availability to work remotely part time before the event and full time during the event
- Residency or willingness to work in Cleveland, Ohio
- Ability to address logistical needs and manage team concerns in a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in a leadership, supervisory, or team management role, preferably within a sports or event context
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- While prior tennis experience is preferred, it is not a requirement
- Ability to work long hours and demonstrate flexibility during the tournament week, including weekends and evenings
- This role will be remote and part time prior to the event, while being available for the duration of the Columbus Challenger event is necessary (February 1 - 8, 2026)

Job Duties
- Work with the Tournament Director to help recruit the necessary ballpersons
- Manage the ballpersons on site including checking ballpersons in, uniform distribution, making sure the ballpersons are getting breaks, getting food or water, and tracking hours for ballpersons
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the ballperson team, addressing questions, concerns, and logistical needs
- Liaise effectively with tournament officials, chair umpires, players, and other court staff to ensure a great experience for all
- Foster a positive, organized, and professional environment for the ballperson team
