- assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals
- monitor all established quality assurance standards

- prepare bakery and deli items per customer requests
- offer product samples to customers
- inform customers of bakery and deli specials
- provide fresh products with correct portion sizes
- recommend deli or bakery items to customers
- use bakery equipment according to company guidelines
- prepare foods according to food temperature logs
- measure and mix ingredients according to recipes
- package, label, and inventory ingredients
- check product quality for freshness
- label, stock, and inventory department merchandise
- report ordering and shipping discrepancies
- maintain knowledge of product and store layout
- ensure proper temperature maintenance in cases and coolers
- promote trust and respect among associates
- create a welcoming environment
