Job Duties

  • Prepare items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment
  • offer product samples to help customers discover new products
  • inform customers of bakery and deli specials
  • provide customers with fresh products and accurate portion sizes
  • recommend bakery or deli items to customers
  • use bakery equipment according to company guidelines
  • maintain product quality by checking freshness and "sell by" dates
  • prepare, package, label, and inventory ingredients and merchandise
  • ensure food safety and compliance with regulations
  • maintain cleanliness and safety in the department
  • assist with inventory management and report discrepancies
  • promote a welcoming environment and excellent customer service
  • practice preventive maintenance on equipment
  • report safety issues and accidents to management
  • manage conflicts respectfully and cooperatively
  • deliver honest and accurate information to customers and management
