Job Duties
- Prepare items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment
- offer product samples to help customers discover new products
- inform customers of bakery and deli specials
- provide customers with fresh products and accurate portion sizes
- recommend bakery or deli items to customers
- use bakery equipment according to company guidelines
- maintain product quality by checking freshness and "sell by" dates
- prepare, package, label, and inventory ingredients and merchandise
- ensure food safety and compliance with regulations
- maintain cleanliness and safety in the department
- assist with inventory management and report discrepancies
- promote a welcoming environment and excellent customer service
- practice preventive maintenance on equipment
- report safety issues and accidents to management
- manage conflicts respectfully and cooperatively
- deliver honest and accurate information to customers and management
