Job Duties
- Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service
- establish and maintain a safe and clean environment
- assist department manager in reaching sales and profit goals
- monitor quality assurance standards
- embrace Customer 1st strategy and encourage associates to deliver excellent customer service
- prepare bakery and deli items per customer requests using proper equipment
- offer product samples to customers
- inform customers of bakery and deli specials
- provide fresh products in correct portion sizes
- recommend deli or bakery items to customers
- use bakery equipment following company guidelines
- prepare foods according to temperature logs and cooking instructions
- measure and mix ingredients per recipe
- prepare, package, label and inventory ingredients
- check product quality and review sell-by dates
- label, stock and inventory merchandise
- report ordering or shipping discrepancies
- understand store layout to locate products
- stay current with seasonal and special ads
- maintain knowledge of products and respond to customer questions
- maintain inventory and stocking condition awareness
- ensure proper temperatures and maintain temperature logs
- promote trust and respect among associates
- create a welcoming environment for customers
- adhere to food safety regulations
- comply with safety procedures and report unsafe conditions
- inspect equipment for maintenance needs and report
- notify management of accidents
