Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- No previous work experience required
- Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Adaptable to different situations and rapidly changing priorities
- Ability to interpret, understand and follow instructions
- Ability to lift and carry merchandise and supplies weighing up to 25 pounds
- Frequent reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, stooping, crouching, twisting, occasional squatting, kneeling and climbing
- Continuous repetitive hand and arm motions
- Ability to stand and walk continuously throughout shifts
- Good visual acuity for locating merchandise and reading small print
- Exposure to various weather conditions and work environments
- Possible exposure to cleaning chemicals and food allergens
- Successful completion of background checks and screening processes
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures
- Dependable and punctual with good attendance
- Basic understanding of food safety standards
Job Duties
- Support bakery/deli department operations including readiness, staffing, supervision, price maintenance, policies and procedures, inventory preparation, financial goals, cleanliness, and safe equipment use
- Support replenishment and inventory processes including ordering, receiving, invoicing, back stock, reclamation, returns, damages, and supply use
- Maintain merchandising and sales floor standards including stocking, rotation, signing, displays, sampling, and zoning procedures
- Support fresh food preparation and production, maintaining food safety standards and service counters
- Use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address operational issues
- Consistently ensure safety and quality orientation across all duties and interactions
