Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- two years of barista and bakery experience
- two years of customer service experience
- valid Washington State Food Workers Card
- ability to pass background and reference checks
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- knowledge of food safety and HACCP/Department of Health guidelines
- ability to prioritize tasks and solve problems
- commitment to exceptional guest service
- availability to work flexible hours
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- two years of barista and bakery experience
- two years of customer service experience
- comprehensive knowledge of food and coffee, including ingredients, applications, pronunciations and culinary skills
- strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
- knowledge of food safety, HACCP/Department of Health guidelines
- ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work within deadlines
- excellent time management and organizational skills
Job Duties
- Demonstrate genuine enthusiasm and sincerity
- customize approach to meet customer needs and build rapport through individualized service
- anticipate customer needs and questions related to products
- actively work to remain knowledgeable and current in areas of responsibility, including product knowledge, product tasting, cutting-edge trends, product use research, and vocabulary development
- effectively follow-through with customer item requests, questions, and concerns
- maintain high-quality standards in product management and presentation
- plan and execute Bakery/Coffee Shop merchandising, displays and pricing
- work in partnership with the Bakery/Coffee Shop Assistant Team Leader to determine order quantities and verify cost of goods
- assume primary responsibility for store-level vendor relations
- assist with quarterly physical inventories and practice inventory control
