Job Duties
- Prepare bakery items per customer requests using proper equipment
- offer product samples to customers
- inform customers about bakery specials
- provide fresh products in correct portion sizes
- recommend bakery products to customers
- use bakery equipment according to company guidelines
- follow cooking and baking instructions
- measure and mix ingredients
- package, label, and inventory bakery merchandise
- check product quality and freshness
- properly use kitchen equipment such as ovens, fryers, and scales
- stock and inventory merchandise
- report ordering or shipping discrepancies
- locate products for customers
- stay current with seasonal and special ads
- maintain knowledge of bakery products to answer questions
- monitor inventory and stocking conditions
- ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers
- promote a positive and respectful work environment
- create a welcoming atmosphere for customers
- adhere to all food safety regulations
- comply with safety procedures and report unsafe conditions
- display a positive attitude
- perform preventive maintenance on equipment
- notify management of accidents or unsafe incidents
