Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous retail or customer service experience preferred
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- must be able to stand for extended periods
- physical ability to lift and carry bakery items
- obtain food handlers permit after employment
- adherence to food safety and sanitation standards
- strong interpersonal skills
- reliable and punctual

Job Duties
- Prepare items per customer requests using bakery equipment
- offer product samples to help customers discover new items
- inform customers of bakery specials
- provide fresh products with correct portion sizes to prevent shrink
- recommend bakery items to customers
- use bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, and ovens
- prepare foods according to temperature logs and cooking instructions
- measure, prepare and mix ingredients according to recipes
- package, label and inventory ingredients
- check product quality and sell-by dates
- properly use kitchen equipment including stove, scale, fryer, steamer
- label, stock and inventory department merchandise
- report ordering and shipping discrepancies
- locate products for customers
- stay current with ads and promotions
- maintain product knowledge
- monitor inventory and stocking conditions
- ensure proper temperatures and logs
- promote trust and respect among associates
- create a welcoming environment for customers
- adhere to food safety regulations
- comply with safety procedures and notify management of unsafe conditions
- display a positive attitude
- perform preventive maintenance on equipment
- report employee or customer accidents
- report safety risks, illegal activity, theft or fraud
- perform essential functions with or without accommodation
