Job Duties
- Prepare bakery items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment
- Offer product samples to customers to help discover new items
- Inform customers of bakery specials
- Provide fresh products with correct portion sizes to prevent shrink
- Recommend bakery items to customers
- Use bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, and ovens following company guidelines
- Prepare foods according to temperature logs and cooking/baking instructions
- Measure, prepare and mix ingredients according to recipes
- Package, label and inventory ingredients and merchandise
- Check product quality and freshness, review sell by dates and take appropriate action
- Properly use kitchen equipment including stove, scale, fryer, steamer, robot coupe
- Label, stock and inventory department merchandise
- Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to manager
- Locate products for customers and stay current with ads
- Gain and maintain product knowledge to respond to customer questions
- Maintain inventory and note discrepancies
- Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers and maintain logs
- Promote trust and respect among associates
- Create a welcoming environment for customers
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
- Comply with safety procedures and notify management of unsafe conditions
- Display positive attitude
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment
- Notify management of customer or employee accidents
- Report safety risks or illegal activity
- Perform essential functions with or without accommodation
