Job Duties

Prepare bakery items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment
offer product samples to customers to help them discover new items
inform customers of bakery specials
provide customers with fresh products in correct portion sizes
recommend bakery items based on customer needs
use bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, and ovens according to company guidelines
prepare foods according to food temperature logs and recipes
measure, prepare, and mix ingredients using kitchen utensils and equipment
package, label, and inventory ingredients and merchandise
check product quality and review sell-by dates
properly use kitchen equipment including stove, computerized scale, fryer, steamer, and robot coupe
label, stock, and inventory department merchandise
report ordering and shipping discrepancies to the department manager
understand store layout and locate products for customers
stay current with present, future, seasonal, and special ads
maintain product knowledge and respond to customer questions
monitor inventory and stocking conditions
ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers
promote trust and respect among associates
create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions
adhere to food safety regulations
comply with safety procedures and report unsafe conditions
display a positive attitude
perform preventive maintenance and report equipment issues
notify management of accidents
report all safety risks and illegal activities
perform essential job functions with or without accommodation
