Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior retail or food service experience preferred
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to follow food safety regulations
- Ability to communicate clearly
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Ability to obtain current food handlers permit once employed

Job Duties
- Prepare bakery items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment
- Offer product samples to help customers discover new items
- Inform customers of bakery specials
- Provide customers with fresh products and correct portion sizes
- Recommend bakery items to customers
- Use all bakery equipment according to company guidelines
- Prepare foods according to temperature logs and cooking instructions
- Measure, prepare and mix ingredients using kitchen utensils and equipment
- Adequately prepare, package, label and inventory ingredients and merchandise
- Check product quality for freshness and review sell by dates
- Properly use kitchen equipment like stoves, scales, fryers, steamers, and robot coupe
- Label, stock and inventory department merchandise
- Report product ordering and shipping discrepancies
- Understand store layout to locate products for customers
- Stay current with seasonal and special ads
- Gain and maintain product knowledge
- Maintain awareness of inventory and stocking conditions
- Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers and maintain logs
- Promote trust and respect among associates
- Create a welcoming environment for customers
- Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines
- Comply with safety procedures and notify management of unsafe conditions
- Display a positive attitude
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections and notify management of needed repairs
- Notify management of customer or employee accidents
