Job Duties

  • Prepare bakery items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment
  • Offer product samples to customers
  • Inform customers of bakery specials
  • Provide customers with fresh products and correct portion sizes
  • Recommend bakery items to customers
  • Use bakery equipment according to company guidelines
  • Prepare foods following temperature logs and cooking instructions
  • Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients per recipes
  • Package, label, and inventory bakery ingredients and merchandise
  • Check product quality and review sell-by dates
  • Use kitchen equipment including stove, fryer, and steamer
  • Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise
  • Report product ordering and shipping discrepancies
  • Locate products for customers within the store
  • Stay current with seasonal and special ads
  • Maintain product knowledge to answer questions and make suggestions
  • Monitor inventory and stocking conditions
  • Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers
  • Promote trust and respect among associates
  • Create a welcoming environment for customers
  • Adhere to food safety regulations
  • Comply with safety procedures and report unsafe conditions
  • Display positive attitude
  • Perform preventive equipment maintenance and report issues
  • Notify management of accidents
  • Report safety risks and illegal activities
  • Perform essential functions with or without accommodation
