Job Duties
- Prepare bakery items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment
- Offer product samples to customers
- Inform customers of bakery specials
- Provide customers with fresh products and correct portion sizes
- Recommend bakery items to customers
- Use bakery equipment according to company guidelines
- Prepare foods following temperature logs and cooking instructions
- Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients per recipes
- Package, label, and inventory bakery ingredients and merchandise
- Check product quality and review sell-by dates
- Use kitchen equipment including stove, fryer, and steamer
- Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise
- Report product ordering and shipping discrepancies
- Locate products for customers within the store
- Stay current with seasonal and special ads
- Maintain product knowledge to answer questions and make suggestions
- Monitor inventory and stocking conditions
- Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers
- Promote trust and respect among associates
- Create a welcoming environment for customers
- Adhere to food safety regulations
- Comply with safety procedures and report unsafe conditions
- Display positive attitude
- Perform preventive equipment maintenance and report issues
- Notify management of accidents
- Report safety risks and illegal activities
