Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous retail or bakery experience helpful but not required
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights
- Ability to follow food safety guidelines
- Must be reliable and punctual
- Ability to pass background check
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Duties
- Prepare bakery items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment
- Offer product samples to help customers discover new items
- Inform customers of bakery specials
- Provide customers with fresh products in correct portion sizes
- Recommend bakery items to customers
- Use bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, and ovens according to guidelines
- Prepare foods following temperature logs and cooking instructions
- Measure, prepare and mix ingredients according to recipes
- Package, label and inventory ingredients and merchandise
- Check product quality and review sell-by dates
- Properly use kitchen equipment like stoves, scales, fryers, and steamers
- Label, stock and inventory department merchandise
- Report ordering and shipping discrepancies
- Locate products upon customer request
- Stay current with promotional ads
- Gain and maintain product knowledge
- Maintain inventory and stocking conditions
- Ensure cases and coolers maintain proper temperatures
- Promote trust and respect among associates
- Create a welcoming environment for customers
- Adhere to all food safety regulations
- Comply with safety procedures and report unsafe conditions
- Display a positive attitude
- Inspect equipment and notify management of needed repairs
- Report customer or employee accidents
- Report all safety risks and illegal activities
